Yes, it happens sometimes with ageing vinly, as it "dries out."
I can't promise you anything but if you contact me directly at my e mail address I can point you in a few "safe" directions to obtain a copy.
If you need to, contact me after 1/8/03
Good luck in the meantime. Save the old copy anyway, it is still an old friend.

He's in the UK though, so shipping will cost as much as the record...

I found a 12" of Thousand Finger Man on Excalibur Records in London for about 3 pounds and then traded it away like an idiot. I know the original 12" on Salsoul is worth the most, but how much is the Excalibur 12" worth?

Marbll - are you thinking of Jingo/Dancing & Prancing? That came out on UK Excalibur.

ha ha ha I hear you but I know a guy in toronto that has a used record store and that is the price he asked for it. I wouldn't even pay $50.00 for a used record ,especially when it has more potential to be "Dry Rotten" [ December 31, 2002, 03:58 PM: Message edited by: Eneg ]

Thats a repress, like the B.T Express' Express thats on the same label. the pressing is probably nice and loud. [ December 31, 2002, 04:34 PM: Message edited by: Eneg ]

You're right Al. It was Dancing and Prancing/Jingo. Because of my previous stupidity, I need another one. I'm sure you know where I might find one, don't you? ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Marbll - the UK Excalibur presssing is actually really common over here. So, yes I can get you one. But as I always say, shipping one record will double (or in this case quadruple) the price! If it's Jingo you want look for the Shep Pettibone mix with the breakdown on the flip.
Eneg - the most I ever saw Thousand Finger Man go for was $120, and that was an ebay price! But that was a couple of years ago before things got silly. I know I'll have to pay a good price for it now, but $300 is way OTT.

WERD! $300.00 is what he quoted me so I didn't buy it. like I said , I wouldn't even pay $50.00 for a record especially if it has more potential to "dry out" and crack. BTW, if you know where I can find another album let me know, i checked out ebay and all i saw was the 12" of Dancin'and Prancin'.

Eneg - the email address I posted in my first post above is a guy who has the album. I wouldn't bother with ebay, I saw one go for over $50 there recently! Stupid. Try 21st Century or even Dance Tracks, it's not a rare album.
