Personally, I believe that DJ strip is the best. But only the REAL DJ Strip. He has influenced me in many ways. I have learned how to rip my shirt off in one quick movement, how to have a orgy with ten girls at a time, how to dance to make the ladies scream...
He is my direct influence. ![[rofl]](graemlins/rofl.gif)

Ron at the Music Box had a nice sound system to be very creative on. Inner Life's 'Aint No Mountain High Enough' being played on a Tuesday Night sounded like a storm coming through the party.

Larry Levan is singularly the most influential DJ/Producer/Remixer/Artist of all time.Favorite?Best? Those are subjective criteria of which there could never be a consensus.Frankie Knuckles is second to Larry Levan in his wide felt impact on Dance music.Andre Hatchett,Shelton "MegaHouse" Reese,Sweet M.D.,are a few of my favorite DJ's. I'll vote Ron Hardy
I remember one night @ The Box when Ron played "GOD FATHER of HOUSE MUSIC" and everyone started chanting RON HARDY must have been the fruit ![[smokin2]](graemlins/kos.gif)

[QUOTE]Originally posted by The White Shadow: [QB] Walter Gibbons-For creating just about everything including cuttin up breakbeats that Kool Herc later picked up and Grandmaster Flash thru Pete DJ Jones.
Nah!!! It was the Grand wizard Theordore who actually invented Cutting and scrathing breakbeats. The same way Flash brought getting quick in catching the beat before the break was not even half way done. Before Theordore there was no such thing as cutting or scratching. And as far as buying 2 records to extend the break, that honor goes between Pete Jones, (who actually spinned Disco and club, more than anything else) and Grandmaster Flowers, then Kool Herc who inspired the idea of the B-boy through his music.
As far as my all-time favorites,
Larry Levan, Timmy Regisford/Dance music Jocks Kid Capri, Jazzy Jeff, Pete Rock/ Hip Hop Jocks...

Im sure this topic has been brought up before.
Let me go on record to say my most fondest memory was Ron Hardy at C.O.D's
Then I had the Andre Hatchett experience at the Music Box
Frankie Knunckles, I must say I like his pre- 90"s stuff than his new stuff.
Honorable Mention: Pharris Thomas at the Hyde Park Racketball Club
Lil Louis at the Ascot Hotel
Dj Larry Clay at Leo HS (1988) "you had to be there!!" he music was sounding like Ron's - This was not your ordinary High School party.
