I am thinking about getting a Korg M1R and was wondering, Does the internal sequencer have a swing function?

Try this http://www.webcoast.com/drevil/korgm1manual/
This is the manual, it should tell you all you need to know.

No, the M1 sequencer does not have swing. The sequencer memory will only hold 1 full orchestrated song. You then need ram cards or do a sysex dump. The M1 has a warm sound and if you really want one get the M1rex, which has double double the rom (actual T3 sounset) which includes a decent 808/909 set. Add the Drums I rom card and you got a very servicable drum kit for House production.
