"My aim since I began working on music back in 1992 has always been to create something that can stand the test of time, timeless. The majority of my favorite music has been in rotation for many years, it still sounds good. I can listen to Bob Marley, Depeche Mode or Miles Davis and in an instant be transported into their work. Universal Truth evolved out of my desire to create a whole body of work, an album, which I can sit back and listen to. I really just created this record for myself. I wasn't really thinking about marketing or genre. I merely wanted a body of music that I really loved."

On his debut artist album Universal Truth (Om Records), critically acclaimed producer/songwriter/DJ Andy Caldwell delves into an uncharted world of rock/electronic/house, bringing his signature strong songwriting and production to the forefront. Featuring vocalists Gina Rene (Soulstice), Amma (Naked Music), Lisa Shaw (Naked Music), Omega (Afro-Mystik/Blackalicious) and Latrice Barnett (Ultra) with live instrumentation (recorded primarily by Andy himself) Universal Truth is guaranteed to turn many heads in not just the dance community, but the alternative / indie rock crowd as well. Andys musical journey begins in the San Francisco Bay Area over a decade ago. Having a passion for the art of music long before the advent of electronica, and a decade before embarking on a career in DJng, producing and songwriting, Andys true musical expression hit all new levels in the wake of San Francisco's early 90s underground rave explosion, when the one-time concert trumpeter and piano player subordinated his horn and foot-pedals in favor of two turntables and a bag of vinyl.
Caldwell's first track "Superfunkidiculous" was released in 1994 and quickly became a top hit throughout the club scene, leading to a collaboration project with childhood friend Gabriel Ren. Forming the highly acclaimed San Francisco electronic soul super group, Soulstice, Caldwell and Rene produced and wrote music for the release of the band's phenomenal debut album "Illusion" and the renowned remix album, "Mixed Illusions." During that time, Caldwell also created a steady stream of his own celebrated releases for Om Records including multiple stand-alone, single releases, a Sounds of Om v. 2 DJ Mix as well as music featured on DJ Mark Farina's widely popular Mushroom Jazz series and the coveted Om Lounge compilations. Caldwell's seminal Om Records' release, "I Can't Wait" has appeared on numerous compilations, and become a favorite for DJs worldwide.
Collaborating with DJ/producers such as co-writing/producing Kaskade's hit single Everything (Billboard Number 1 Dance Club Play and Top 10 Dance Commercial Radio Charts) Caldwell has also done several remixes for the Yoshitoshi label, including the Grammy nominated track "Safe from Harm" by Narcotic Thrust. Further expanding his reach, Caldwell's signature production style is also recognized in the film and television industries. He has composed music for films such as Forces of Nature and Skulls, as well as popular television series Six Feet Under, Boston Public, and Chromium Blue.
With an ever-expanding discography, Caldwell has only just begun to fulfill his passion for music, with frequent DJ tours, remix opportunities, production work and finally his debut artist album!!! For over the past 10 years, his DJ schedule has allowed him to share his love of music with fans around the world, performing as a DJ / musician in every major city on every continent.

Important Information to Know about this Party
1. There will be a list of RSVP Names (your MYSPACE NAME plus number of guests) or the name you sent us via email at each door of Suite B.
2. There will be someone from Hoochie Productions at each door. We will not be there the whole night so please get there early to avoid any problems.
3. Suite B does have a dress code. No Tennis Shoes, but we promise there will still be a lot of dancing going on! Dress to impress!
4. Don't forget to RSVP. RSVP list closes at 5 p.m. this Thursday. You can also rsvp to hoochieproductions@yahoo.com

The Mantra for the week is: Get to the Andy Caldwell Party Early!
Why?
1. We expect to reach capacity Friday night. There will be someone from Hoochie Productions at each door. We will not be there the whole night so please get there early to avoid any problems.
2. Due to the HUGE number of rsvp's for this party (and after talking to management last night) the drink tickets will be offered from 9 - 10:30 p.m.
3. Another reason to get there early, get a copy of Andy Caldwell's Traxsource Mix! ( only 50 available!)
