His bones are a little creakier. His muscles are a little tighter. And Lord knows, he doesn't recover from the nights out as quickly as he used to.

But we love DJ Taha anyway!! Come and join us at Five on Wednesday, December 15 for a very special Ascension show to celebrate DJ Taha's ??th birthday.

This installment of Ascension will feature a special live concert by Osunlade & his band.

(Note: Osunlade's performance will be a *much* different show from his recent sterling DJ set at DC Sanctuary, so come see something unique to the DC area.)

Opening performances by T-Kolai featuring Nicolas Laget, and the Inner Corner Band. Lights by Louis Pinckney.

DATE: Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004
TIME: 9:00 pm - 3:00 am
LOCATION: Five, 1214B 18th Street, Washington, DC
ADMISSION: $10. all night.

THIS IS INTERNATIONAL SOUL LOVE IN DC. Oh, this is gonna be a great week people.

We get to see Osunlade again. [Big Grin]

A positive fellow. Come on out and it will rub off on you. Wednesday is soooooooo good for dancing at Five! We'll get to fellowship with all the other soldiers of the underground family just before the Holidays. Nothing better.

See you Wednesday night Birthday Boy, uhhh, that's "BIRTHDAY KING!" [acclaim]

And this Friday Brett Dancer at the Sanctuary! It's on baby! I gotta go to NYC just to get some sleep! This just doesn't add up. And I'm glad of it! [thumbsup]

This was a beautiful show- it was great to see Osunlade expanding and sharing his already diverse musical vocabulary....
