I'm looking at the UF8 as I can get it quite cheaply. Are these boards good quality?

I was checking them out also..but went into the local music store and man...they feel real flimsy..the keys are ok, well at least the 88key version, but those sliders and cheesy chunky buttons were ..Ughhhh. So I passed. On to a Fatar or something...

I like the knobs, but not the sliders. The keys feel like they have great action though, I havn't actually got to play one properly yet as it wasn't connected up to anything at the music shop.

funny you should ask that....I had one here and I'm dumping it. Cheap...the whole two middle octaves developed a stuck key syndrome which had to be repaired...on top of that it doesn't do aftertouch and the provided velocity curves absolutely suck. It's a big piece of art in my studio now...cuz it looks nice though!LOL...I went and got myself a K2500SX 88key vers and the problem's solved.

dude...one word Fatar..for you...
peace

Yeah I love the fatars but they are quite hard to get here down under in Australia. The kurzweils appeal to me as they have high quality piano/keyboard sounds aswell which would be very useful to me. I'm stuck between weather to go the just midi keyboard route, or stage piano. May I ask how much you got your K2500XS for?
