Over the past week or so, there have been many post about the now imfamous Ron Hardy unreleased track party at Orly's. Everybody was trying to find out who was there and what went down. Just this past saturday, there was a party at the basement, Jamie 3:26 let loose, and I have not seen one post - good or bad - about that party. I know for a fact, there were alot of people from this page there and not one person has said anything about that party. But everyone had something to ask or say about the Bill Hardy party. Now you tell me, what's wrong with that picture?
I smell a rat. Everyone seemed to jump on the bash Bill Hardy band wagon, but not one person has even metioned the party at the Basement. Doesn't this sound a little strange? Kind of makes me wonder about the honesty in this community we call DHP. If this isn't clicking I don't know what it is. No disrespect to Jamie, because he is my guy and he knows this. I actually hope he see's this post and responds. One way or the other because this is something we talked about, personally. People need to statr being honest to themselves, first, before they start bashing others.
But, since no one else wants to say anything about the party, I will. The session was tight. Jamie beat it down, playing new and old. He was high as hell, but he did the damn thing. There was a nice size crowd and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I met alot of people from the page. Just to name a few:
JMJ - you are cool and real. People have you pegged wrong, but after talking to you I see where you're coming from. Peace, Bro'
Intimate Illusion & V-Rod - you too are cool. V-Rod watch your girl, I might roll up on her oneday. ;) We had a good conversation and I hope we see eachother again.
Leonard Part Sixx - a pleasure as usual. Your explanation for not getting involved in the Bill Hardy fiasco was true and point well taken.
the basement/the way we were is an established promotion/event.
how much do the regulars (dhp) need to rant about it? jamie always does his thing. the big news story would be if he didn't.
Hello, e-man. I've got to get out of here (road trip), but I'll say this before I go..... Jamie didn't misrepresent himself or his function, nor did he promise anything that he couldn't or didn't deliver. Therefore, no controversy, drama, or reason to create either. Have a great week. I have spoken......JMJ ;)

I'm getting a vision.....this topic will grow to 3 pages, with people who know each other calling each other names, and there will be at least 3 anonomous names who know all the people involved, and then torin will have to close the thread because feelings will get hurt......
Sooooooooooo.....
can we just close this now and save us all the bullsh*?.....thanks....

No,it's not going to get to that point.E,thanks for looking out,but I don't use DHP as a promo vehicle.I come here for fun,to learn, and to share memories and wisdom with folks.
I may put a post up about a joint,I may not.I don't care if folks log on and say it was hot or not.It does not matter. What happens in the real world does.
I have respect for others in the game, even though some folks say I don't,which is not true.I do not need to come here and get pissed when someone does not post about the party I did.It ain't that serious.
Now if folks want to use this as an op to start some shit...go elsewhere.Torin really summed it up to a T.
Trust me,if I would have done some outrageous shit, like smack the shit out of that guy who stood in the front of the booth for an hour, begging me to play runaway,I can understand that.
No biggie,no prob.I'd rather someone tell me I did a good job in person, especially if they were at the gig...it just seems more sincere. ;)
I hope this will not deteriorate into some nonsense.Ya'll know folks look forward to Chi-Town drama on dhp anyways.

I forgot to add...DHP HAS helped things in a whole for Chicago. If I said it didn't,I would be lying.Even though heads may not post,I have met many folks who said they heard about a party from DHP.
Respect to G,Torin, and Timmy for holding it down.

I was just saying it's crazy how people notice the bad things about a party and will be quick to post negative, but when something good goes down you don't hear anything about it. Even though the basement has been around for a minute, it's still good to hear about the good as well as the bad. The bad seems to bring long outrageous threads. And we hear it too often. I say let's start posting the good things about some of these parties, maybe we'll see a difference. Peace. Torin, Timmy & G-Man - Good job bringing people together. I have no beef, just speaking a little wisdom and truth. No Harm, No foul. graemlins/acclaim.gif

Jamie probably (I wasn't there) beat the box. He didn't make promises of free CDs to the first 100 people, then when caught in the lie say so many people showed up that he gave all 100 CDs away.
I'm sure by 12am Jamie was beatin' the box and the place was packed!
I wrote what I wrote about that Bill Hardy party based on my experience and stand by it.
Sometimes if you do the stellar job you're use to doing people won't comment one way or another unless it's someone new to your experience.
Got it?! graemlins/cool_shades.gif

My observation as an occasional visitor to your fair city is that the more posts an event in Chicago generates the fewer people present and less fun being had... If you don't hear much about a given party it is probably a good sign.

It seems like e-man must've been lurking for years, since he's a junior member but has the entire DHP constituency read and figured out.
