Just happened upon that song on the radio. I think it is from the 70s. Now I have to look it up and see who it is by. Sounded really good.
I think I must just love all songs about dancing.
The lyrics from Come Dancing by The Kinks bring tears to my eyes.

Found it. Funny how some lyrics can be timeless.
Dancing In The Moonlight
( King Harvest 1973)
We get it on most every night
When that old moon gets so big and bright
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep things light
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight
Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight
We like our fun and we never fight
You can't dance and stay uptight
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight
Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight
[break]
Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep things light
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight
Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight
Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight
Dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

That's a great song. It reminds me of being in some pub with early 20th century memorabilia in it. Peace.

There are a couple of disco versions of this too.. The Keane Brothers and Platypus. I'm pretty sure there was another.

Was thinking that I would love to hear the original song out on a good sound system. There's just something heartlifting about it. So much good music old and new from so many genres. Don't let me ever learn to use a mixer. Folks would never know what to expect. :D
