I believe you can set your status so noone knows you are on.

To prevent people from seeing if you are logged on and browsing the board click on the "User Cp" link at the top of the board. Then Click on the "Edit Options" link on the left side menu. Check the first option box to "Use Invisibility Mode".

But it still leaves a check by your name if you're invisible. Or is that because I can still see my name if I'm logged in but yet invisible?
