Silver Room Block Party...yaaaay!

I'm not sure if Eric Williams of the Silver Room even reads da P, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU to him and the other organizers for another fly-ass party. The music was wonderful ("Rock star, rock star!!!!"), the vibe was lovely and the people...omg, the people were beautiful. Wish we would have stayed to the end...I'm sure Ugochi and Peven tore it up.

This event is def. one of the highlights of the summer in Chicago.

I had a great time...hearing Mike Ezembkwu beat it at the end of the nite in the store was a pleasant surprise,along with El outside.

the only problem with the event that i had was the sound system. when i got there vic lavender was playing, and i couldn't decipher what it was that he was playing. i thought he was playing "star suite" when he wasn't. it was very muddy. alot of distortion during peven's set, too.

and that's the thing about peven. even though it sounded bad and there was alot of distortion during his set he still sounded good.

don't take this as a diss to the event or the promoter. i am appreciative of what happened that day.

Man I had a blast! This was my second one. Beautiful people and vibes. Invited some friends who had never been and they really enjoyed themselves and said they plan to come back next year. Great job Eric!

oh gotta mention there's this new italian restaurant that we ate at in the area that's only been open for 9 days at this point. they're called "cafe bionda". they're located at 1467 n. milwaukee. highly recommended!
