I dont have a problem admiting that I once went through a point where I wanted to listen to nothing but underground music.
nowadays I dont mind a remix. However, I'm talking to some people that DESPISE top 40 House remixes and call DJs sellout for playing top 40 remixes.
i once went through that. nowadays i dont care.
I smile because i remember being where they are. at the same
time im like "STFU and think outside the box."
conforming?

im trying to holla at a chick that does nothing but talk about keeping it real.
i thought it was cute at first but now it's getting a little played out.

I've tried to convert this one young lady to the House scene by showing her some remixes of popular tracks, but it was a no go (she is 23). I just keep it moving ....

she got turned to house about a year ago.
dont get me wrong...im still gonna tap that but it's almost
like im seeing the way i was way back when. lol
besides she considers techy house "keeping it real."
i dont mind tech house cuz it beats that bongo crap.

They grew up with a different concept of House. Anything pre-95 is boring to them. They want that ultra happy rave sh*t. To each their own, of course, but I wish she was more open minded.
Also, I am leaving those young girls alone. My cut-off is now 27.

man brother we have many things in common.
when i found out she was 25 i felt that a problem.
it must be a self-thing to see age as a limitation.
shes cool and can hold a conversation. shes got schooling and stuff.
im just enjoying the ride right now but eventually have to make a decision.
I despise people that refer to themselves as househeads.
They suck......JMJ

Best thing is to let it go if you feel she can't hang. That's what I did. We are still cool and continue to talk, but I could not see it going anywhere so we remain friends only. In a lot of aspects she was rather immature (not to say that I am completely mature myself) and it became quite frustrating. I learned that those few years actually make a difference. Just think back to when YOU were that age and what your mind set was.
Best of luck to you, my good man.
