Maybe I'm late on this. I heard it costs a pretty penny but anyone mixed on this. 3 degrees is using this on their Thursday nights at Transit.

I don't know, someone told me it's over $3000 but I can't find a price anywhere. Is this one of those times where, if you have to ask how much you can't afford it.

Vestax has never exactly been known for stellar sound. Maybe this is some kind of big upgrade for them but I would be wary.

Just checked Midwest Stereo website, no listing for a mixer in that range.

And for those of you with lots of F/O money thats 7513.61 American dollars.
That pretty much "isolates" me from ever having that unit.

For less than 2 grand you can get a nice urei, bozak, or rane rotary, why would you spend $6k on a vestax?

Maybe the sound is that much better? Maybe some places need 5 phono ins and a built-in isolator.
This is for big installations, not bedrooms.

Even if I had that kind of spare change, I'd get a rane with both pieces.

Something to consider, especially if you're mobile...

I have the DN-X800 now - decent sound quality, although the build quality is just so-so.
Definitely better than the Pioneer 500 and 600 though......JMJ

I agree with the sound quality compared to the built quality.

Im going to buy a case for it to help prevent wear and tear. I'm also going to hook up a MOFX to the FX loop. I think it will do the job.

I've got mine in a flight case with an EFX-500 hooked up to the FX send and return.
One of the cue buttons sticks on occasion and the booth output is uneven - I've had the mixer for a little over two years.
Again - decent sound quality, but not nearly as well built as my old Numark PPD DM-1975.
I see an Allen & Heath Xone 92 or Xone S2 being my next (and final) mixer.......JMJ

Non-story; few paid for even their previous 2K mixer let along something even pricier, for good reason. They're not identified with high-quality so it makes little sense to consider them now all of a sudden.

I may be worth hollding tight for Paul Morrissey's re-incarnation of the bozak name - http://www.bozak.com/
