Probably a stupid question since everyone has their own taste in their collecting but... I have spent some time now trying to collect Disco and I have putting the newer stuff to the way side. I want to get up there in the scene again, but I feel like I have been programed to just disco and not the new stuff. Would it be a better investment to buy the newer shit than buying disco or visa versa (sp?)
Seems like Disco is cool if you want to be known as a classics dj, but I want to be well rounded (shut up JMJ!) and the new stuff is catching my attention, besides seems like DJ's out there are progressing more with new house and stuff!
What do you all think, I want to be out there!!!

but i guess if you are collecting what makes you the happiest when you play out, fuck a genre!

Play what you're feeling and go with it. That's best and I give this example...remember when you played out my book and played a better set than I did? Big Baby was impressed and James [mr famous for talking S**T] had nothing to say. Doris loved the way you played at the Pub...we were just OK in her opion.
When you're musically lost, look back at times like that and things will become easy.
