thank u cloaked for posting -- a Durannie thanks you

ok Edith it's not that bad. production: the track is good, it could use a deep house mix (attn Jamie 3:26 and Leonardpart6) . Timbaland delivered -- though his presence on the bridge was not needed -- it wouldn't be a Timbaland track without it I guess. Justin's vocals could have been easily substituted by a Jay Kay wannabe....really ... and would have made the track more enjoyable. btw what was that sh*t after the 2nd chorus

1. They released this to get radio play. Enter Timbaland (good choice) and JustinT (next!)
2. They are looking to reinvent themselves again....you gotta admit that is the key to their longevity.
3. Believe it or not this can get club play too with the right remix.
4. They announced that they were working with Timbaland 2 years ago so listening to his latest releases including his own single, I kinda expected this. More bass heavy than I expected. Thank heavens for the John Taylor/Timbaland lovefest in the studio

5. Edith, you know the suits at Sony won't release their 'real' stuff. example: Bedroom Toys from their last album Astronaut

it's a wannabe 80s prince vibe, with timbaland's techno workings, mixed with a bit of Notorious' funk leanings. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Maybe I need to listen to it again, or maybe, like you said, Paula, it needs some deep house stank on it.

Either way, I have to keep it real, otherwise I wouldn't be a bonafide Duranie for life.

My other favorite was "The Sound Of Thunder" (1981).

my sister-in-law nearly fell out of her chair when I told her that song was by D2.

"you want it, you got it....now what you gonna do with it"
