The Billboard awards were held every year up until 1980. Dj's from every state use to get picked as best Dj in there state voted on by there peers. I won for 1980 for Jersey and Larry Levan won the same year for NY. Are there anymore awards winners in the DHP or does anybody know any history of DJ's that won in there states? Just curious.

Didn't Robert Ouimet from Montreal Canada win one of those as well?
Or was it another Billboard award?

Say PhoreAyem, Good lookin on posting the information in reference to the Disco site my man, That, Disco Dj Hall of fame lists has some very, very, familiar cats(dj's)on it, That you very, rarely hear of nowdays, like Ted Currier,Rick Richardson,Rene Hewitt,Kurt Borusiewwicz(Rip/Produced 'Hot Shot', by Karen Young), Also, It's very good to see any list connecting Dance Music with early Hiphop cats like Eddie Chebba, Grandmaster Flowers,Flash(Grandmaster Flash),Kool Herc,Maboya, Dj Hollywood, Pete Dj Jones, Plummer, I would definitley like to know why Reggie Wells name was not on the list though(LOL).
