sorry you are all sweating over there ... I hear it's like a typical New York summer in Europe this year, which is amazing considering the fact that we've got typical London weather over here (although a bit hotter) -- rain every freakin' day! My friend David is coming over tomorrow - in part because buying a ticket was as expensive as buying an air conditioner, and we've all got AC over here!

bish, you should try this heat. Whoever said that Latinos can hang with the heat is full of shit! I can't stand this sheeyat!!! I'm sweating in bed and my fuggen fan doesn't help for shit and I can't afford to use the AC cause that bill will go through the roof. we're living through the biggest heatwave since time immemorial right now. here in the Frankfurt area we've been measuring 40+°C/ 105°F for a solid week now, and this is supposed to go on well into september. in portugal (50°C/120°F) they're experiencing massive forest fires, there's fear of shortages of all kinds of things, including water (rivers drying up, suspension of riverbound freight shipping, prices for joghurt skyrocketing etc.) and electrical power (a number of nuclear power plants have reduced output or shut down altogether B/C they're running out of coolant water; wind power plants B/C there's no wind to speak of, etc.). italian meteorologists (sp?) have apparently discovered, that the meteorolical equator has advanced some 2.500 km to the north. and it is going to stay that way for a few years.

soon we'll all be millionaires, raising citrus fruits and running holiday resorts B/C the Spaniards are going to want come up here for their vacations LOL...
