There is quite a bit of soul written by artists like Crosby, Still and Nash (Carry On), Neil Young (his entire catalog), Three Dog Night (Mama Told Me Not To Come), America (Horse with No Name), Grand Funk Railroad (Closer to Home/I'm Your Captain).

The 60's and 70's had a unification of whites, blacks and latinos in America that produced vast cultural epics in music, literature and fine arts.

There waqs a lot of Blue eyed Soul back then that was in-tune with Soul music itself.
