What's up, lurker? I knew you wouldn't miss the HM-5 party. I took a pass on it. Heard Kenny was particularly good. Any more details?

Heard mixed reviews.

My guy, who grew up on House WITH ME, raved about being back stage with his idols. Even though, we personally saw RonnyHardy. He had a deep love for Farley, Farley, Farley Farley Farley and them other b96 cats.

He stated that, just like the old days, he was able to make his way back-stage, chat with and feel human about reminiscing about his memory of house music, for hours.

Granted, he doesn't get out to very many House Music events, these days, being an adult. However, he stated that upon making his way back-stage, everyone from Farley to them other cats, treated him with respect, and spoke with him like a human being.

On the other hand, another old head; a woman to be exact- mentioned that the joint was packed, but that as an adult, she was not allowed back inside, (even with passes|wrist-bands) after stepping outside after moving old bones for hours, to grab a breath of fresh air.

She missed the end of the event.

Dont have much, but thats what I gots.

I would prefer 5 dj's and one GOOD performer,over 30 dj's,Fast Eddie,Darryl Pandy and White Knight anyday.

again props to the Hotmix 5 who help promote dance music to the masses via the airwaves. they paved the way for other radio djs that have followed. i know there were others who were doing it as well in the streets. let's give credit where credit is due. selling out HOB two nights in a row is no easy job.

That event sounds and looks like it was the bomb diggity. Great venue to sell out and show folk the potential viability of future events.

Did Gary Hayslett show up? I heard he's putting the DMA thing back together

You dont get what im saying.....with that kind of promotion considering the impact they had on the masses would be sold out.....im not taking anything from what the HM5 has done...

if anything, I was the one that took up for them on here....when the board was on that "deep only-deeper than thou" phase (this of course was back around 2000).....
