I think this deserves a thread of its own...
I can't find anything really about this lot, I've listened to their sound clips on wax and really liked them, but can't find anywhere in the uk on the net that haves any of their stuff...
anyone know who/what they are/do?
and how to get their records.....
cheers

Yeah I'm all over it. These guys are dope... you need their albums as well as the remix album and the onesided megamix. here is the web addy
http://www.crue-l.com/
it sucks that their records are so expensive... ironically I think they are now gettin their records pressed in LA but they are shipped to Japan and then back here for me to buy at a higher rate.... some friends of mine were trying to work out a deal where a portion ot the records pressed here could be dropshipped to them in LA thus saving us a whole shitload of time and money but I don't know what ever came of that...

Matthew One of their tracks, the one I have, was released on Discfunction recordings(it's on the compendium which is still readily available). I think Harvey is involved although he may just remix them. DJ Kent may also be involved. He also records under Force of Nature(Has a track on Crue-l under this name) . He had a single out recently on exceptional called Loopadiction and one on Bearfunk as DJ Kent.
I've never seen any tracks on this lable in UK record stores- I wish someone would import them. If anyone knows of any let me know!

There's a track by Crue-L on the Soul Togetherness 2001 compilation - worth checking out because there are some other hot tracks on there (Rahsaan Patterson, Al Green etc)

I've got the one with SR Smoothy "Inside of You" on the flip. Both those are great tracks. Found it at the Mr Bongo web site I believe.

It's on a midtempo tip, but is unmissable IMO
I'm so glad the Expansion guys licensed this 'cos I couldn't find the Japanese pressing anywhere smile.gif

My copy has Time & Days (Harvey re-master mix) with SR Smoothy - Inside of You (Ogu 2040 remix) on the flip. This come out on Disorient and can often be found in Reckless Records.
disorient@mrbongo.com & www.mrbongo.com/disorient (http://www.mrbongo.com/disorient) are mentioned for info.
