Not the best description of Hard House I've heard. Funny, Raare .. I was thinking your City to City mix was a bit on the "harder" side and that's what I love about it.

i dont know what you mean by HARDHOUSE if its HH in its original form as it was mid 90's i cant
BUT IF ITS IS 1 OF THE FOLLOWING I CAN:
- Lexicon Avenue (they r deep tripy)
- Peace Division (they are deep dark)
- Timo Mass (electronic alternative)
- Saeed & Palash (deep dark tripy)
- Chus & Ceballos (they r cool the spanish tribal house)
- Superchumbo (this man is cool production wise) did hear his mix of SEAL - get it togather A WINNER
- Harry Romero - i like his hard stuff 2 dance too they are a mixture of elements hard & non he is clever
& many more e.g. Josh Wink, some of the Bedrock stuff lately, the latest DT which 2 listen are, Satoshi Tome(did u hear the new Rob Rives on his SAW label i bought that 1)
NOW I DONT KNOW IF THESE ARE HARD BUT THIS IS THE HARD THAT I LIKE & DONT(like 2 listen dance 2 etc but hardly ever buy if its just for the 1 off occasion like Seal remix)

firstly i wanna say i've got pretty varied musical tastes but i friggin HATE hard house!!!

Now of course, there could be some debate about what constitutes 'hard house'. But its gotta be cleared up that everything from that Subliminal-y sound, through to Danny Tenaglia, Superchumbo or even the progressive type djs - that aint what people (who listen to the music) are referring to as 'hard house'. i did a quick search for some hard house and found some wack ass mix but as far as my (brief) experience this is what they (the producers/kids/press/whoever call hard house):
http://www.musicgel.co.uk/stats/click.php?id=25

to be honest it doesnt affect me too much - in the uk anyway this music is basically a poison for folk to get e'd/fvcked up to - what gets me is when someone refers to this music as 'house' music.

its not even worth getting into a discussion about but fair to say i wish they'd (or the media or whoever) have just grabbed their own term and not dirtied the name 'house music'.

SO no, i dont think this music can be grooved to. I was unfortunate enough to go to an afterhours spot called insomniacz in the uk once, i was genuinly almost physically sick. the music was too fast to dance to, the (Shitty) system was pushed to make your ears bleed, there were no non-fucked up people in there, and all these kids had dummies and shit and were playing with toys and crap. graemlins/jpshakehead.gif  i'd been doing a bar shift and we felt like trying to find a latish spot to party but it was hell and i got the fvck out very quick!!! graemlins/scared.gif

but (and i know some will disagree) i can definately get down to house that has a harder edge as such. i might not choose to listen to it but some of that stuff tenaglia or whoever spin is get-downable-to in the right circumstances. and at least those guys come with some professionalism, which is non existant (imo) in the hard house scene

just my two cents!

Peace

Dave

You're talking about the House Sound of Rotherham which is gripping the wolrds teenagers? - I believe those in the U.S. call Hard House, Rave, not trance, the other stuff, Tidy Trax is big on this scene - all tosh and nonsense..

Dummies, Silver Bra & Glowsticks at the ready

Hardhouse and trance are cousins but have the same mother and damn she is one ugly mother.

I could dance to it if people started firing bullets at my feet.

Hardhouse is what clubs in the UK like Miss Money Penny's, Gatecrasher, Gods Kitchen where playing until they discovered funky house was more marketable. Although , same shit different smell, you will still find the hardhouse mentality I am sure, lets ave it, cumon !

IT'S SATANS SPAWN AND THE CLUBS THAT HAD A PART IN IT ARE THE DEVILS LITTLE HELPERS.

MAY THEY NEVER BE ABLE TO REMOVE THERE FLOURO FURY MOONBOOTS !

Hmmmm.....

Larry Levan would play anything that had a groove. Pitch some of those records down you'll find some of those records are quite good!!!
