Well not necessarily house but do you dress a bit off the cuff? I mean could a person tell right off the top that you are about the party just by your appearance? Do you get "Looks" when you walk down the street based on your style. I always liked the fact that peeps that partied where I partied would look outrageous not only at the party but everyday. When a lot of my friends come to my crib all the neighbors assume that they are from the nothside.
Peace

Peace like khari? graemlins/rofl.gif tell him i said that... graemlins/grinyes.gif
anyhoo, when i dressed "house", i looked more like what hip-hop changed to in the late 80's early 90's - it's like they TOTALLY bit our style...
now, i'm a bit too old and a bit too involved in life to be trying to dress any particular way but sensible...
I used to put effort into my clothes. These days I seem to just get whatever is cheap and comfortable, as long as it looks ok to me.
You can have real ordinary clothes and just one funky hat and its all good...

I don't dress house anymore. They way it use to be in the late 80's early 90's. I was living in Gary dressing Chicago House. Folks use to think I was a hippie. Now,I have a very unique style of my own.

My style is very unique, I'm a creative person and I would say that I push the envelope when it comes to the way i dress....Ask I Am A Friend, when I last saw him, I had on a Michael Jackson t-shirt (old mike), a funky denim skirt and high top chuck taylors...I just go with the flow...do my own thing, and people appreciate that...

Every now and again, I'll go into the archives and pull out a GA, still have my Guess jacket circa 1984-fond memories of Chicago house-style!

I think me and Rickey X have spoken about dress before, the 80's was a clothing and hairstyle trip for anyone not following the music, used to get some right stares  , i think they have made virtually everything main stream, except MJackson t's graemlins/thumbsup.gif , but that may be the replacemnt for the 70's Rock TShirts worn slutty scruffy rocky chics style in the future maybe, actually ?, that is very possible.
Basically, style has gone commercial. Remember how tribal dress seemed both negative and positive graemlins/cool_shades.gif
but when mom\daughter father/son wear similiar clothes graemlins/conf44.gif .
Remember not wanting to dress like your elders ?

i definitely have put my "house" gear to bed. i'm more into lacing my office and casual attire with 70s (& some early 80s) vintage favorites. i tend to incorporate several influences into an easy, utilitarian style with a funky flair.
