I gotta make a decision about an apartment...

After some searching over the past month and a half, I am now facing 2 weeks to make a decision and move in somewhere by May 1st.

I have found some studios in the 450-550 range, which is workable for me. They are quite small tho and I am not sure sound could get too loud in a studio/hotel like atmoshpere.

I also found some decent 2br and 3br places and have been meeting random people lookin for places. The deals there are a little better, and space and amenities are better in that regard too.

But up untill this point I always just lived with college friends and what not, whereas now I am possibly going to end up living with someone I know little about.

Anyways, I am torn between the studio and my privacy and a roomate situation with people that I seem to have little in common with.

i'd take a studio over roommates anyday...it would allow you peace while you plan on obtaining a bigger place...plus, it looks better with the ladies - i mean, i can see a man with a studio, but not all the time roommates... ;)

Trust me,to go back to living with other foks after being on your own for sooo long,is torture.

Get a studio.Talk to the neighbors and let them know what ya into.As long as you are respectful and don't blast ya shit late at nite and cut it down at a resonable hour,you should be cool.Get some smaller speakers to play ya stuff lite when it's late.It can be done.

If you hit me up with a resume though I'll ask around to see if they have any more spots opening up (lots of expansion).

If you need some more options for apts scope out the Reader. Always tons of apts up for rent in the spring (Apr-June). If you can find something in Ukranian Village/Noble Sqruare that's a good central location and I think you can still find some decent rent rates! Beware of anything saying WEST Wicker Park/Bucktown--that's a nice way of saying Humboldt Park--it can get like the Wild West over there! AR15firing.gif
