I stayed at the Sheraton on 7th Ave bet. 52nd & 53rd not too long ago, I think it was $149 per night. Have you tried that one?

If you can't find anything, what about staying in Jerzee and just taking the train over to the city? It'll save you some money.

I think there's a Marriot in downtown Brooklyn. It's very close to the city (10 minutes) via train or cab.

Yep, it's Marathon time (Sunday). A whole lot of runners are from abroad (recreational, not just competitive).

The Sheraton? I think that's where the runners pick up their numbers and materials there! Good luck getting a room!

Try Double Tree Guest Suites in Jersey City. Its literally 2 minutes from the Holland Tunnel and there's a PATH train stop right across the street from the hotel. Its got (or did have) a sandwich shop in the lobby, there's a mall across the street, the rooms are all nice, big suites and it should still be in the $150 range.

There's also a couple of other hotels right there basically on the same block but I don't know which ones.

Peace

I think I'm all good. Found a room at The Marriott Courtyard Jersey City Newport..540 Washington blvd. The lady said that I could catch the Ferrry back and forth to NY which runs all night. How often does the Ferry run ? $115 a night. I'm cool with that.
Peace
Rich

Richie, are you hitting up the Shelter? If yes, I will see ya there most likely. Can someone confirm that Timmy will be there this week-end?

Rich I stayed there when I visited NYC last month for $99 night (lucky me) :D .
It's a very nice hotel in a very nice setting. It is also next to a Path train station. You can take the Path train to 33rd street in Manhattan which leaves you only a few blocks from Shelter/Times Square/etc. It costs $1.50 each way (you can buy them in bulk to save even more money). There's a shopping mall across the street with a food court and a Starbuck's coffee shop plus many other eateries in the area. It's definitely my spot to stay next time I travel to New York (especially flying into Newark International where I can take the AirTrain to the AirLink station, go to Newark's Penn Station, then travel by Path directly to the Newport area).

Check this website for transit: www.njtransit.com (http://www.njtransit.com)
