On the real, have a great time tonight. I saw Stevie at MSG when I was about 13-14, and it was one of the best shows I've seen, ever.

Wasn't Stevie playing/supposed to play at Chicago Fest the year we boycotted it for whatever reason? Memory is fuzzy but I seem to remember something like that.

Man, when they announced that the show was cancelled, he came out on the stage and told us he was going to cancel his concert in Detroit tonight and come back and perform for us.

I cannot wait....

You taking me waaaay back. I do remember the boycott and ChicagoFest.I can't recall the reason for the boycott.I know Jesse and nem had something to do with it.

I did see Teddy P. perform at Chicagofest in 81.

Wow...I remember how ugly that race got...and how some folks celebrated Harold's death.

It was real ugly right. That was around the time I became aware of politics (the nasty, rich, prejudiced, underhanded Chicago kind) as a youngster. I remember the celebrations when he sent Ms Byrne packin.

Do you remember more than a few whispers of foul play re: Harold's death? The whole, "I though he leaned over to pick up a pen" thing?

It was a little chilly but Stevie did his thang.......so much material he couldn't get it all in ofcourse but he did a good job with what he gave us, well worth the money..........
