A reminder from when the disco scene had style and excitement
now we got folks showing up to sing in doo-rags and hoodies ( house music [the black kind] included)

And I had no clue that guy from that HBO series was the one that said "Miss Grace Jones".....
man...i used to think the sun rose and set on ms. jones. i had a picture of her that i made into a poster on my wall when i was in high school. it was her topless in suspenders that i got from either details or interview mag...i think it was interview, because i remember the pic being taller than normal...but it was black and white and detail used to be in mostly black and white, if not all. my mom let actually let me do shit like that. i love my mom for that. i need to call her and ask her what she thought about me having that on my wal...hahahaaaaa!!!!!

see...that's why i wanted to move to new york and become a club kid. just looking at all those pictures in detail magazine - i was, like "hell, we do, act and dress like this in chi - you mean i could go to new york and make money doing the same shit?!?!"
y'all had the significant people doing stuff that was unbelievable. it's like, when i was watching "downtown 81"...man, y'all (especially your age group) had it made!
