Go to soulseek from dutch (http://www.soulseek.de.vu/) (US server is down) and click
on download .
If you have a PC,youhave to download the file:
"download from confident-solution-faster(149fix.exe)
It functions now for me .

If you have a mac(or a linux):download@pysoulseek

I hope it will be ok.Peace and thanx Silhouette from Chicago.

Translation from german (rough): "since yesterday there has been a problem with the Soulseek domain name. The client won't be able to resolve (?) the IP address of this domain."

Direct link to the fix is here:

http://www.nicmare.de/slskfiles/slsk149fix.exe

thanks Sams and Silhouette.. smile.gif

I got this from the overloadmedia forum and it worked for me.

Find your hosts file,
To do this:
GO TO... Start, run and then cut & paste one of the following lines

in Windows XP it is C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
in Windows 2000 it is C:\ WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
I'm not sure what it is in 98/ME/95.

Now open the file with Notepad.
Add these four lines to the very bottom of the file:
Then SAVE the notepad.

38.115.131.131 sk2.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 www.slsk.org (http://www.slsk.org)
38.115.131.131 mail.slsk.org
38.115.131.131 server.slsk.org

I did this, and was immediately able to go on Soulseek again
