On how to explaine the deepness and soulfulness of House and Classics Disco, to a true solid classic soul man. That just does not get it. Do you think it is same or not?.

Peace.
Maybe it can't be explained, just experienced.

Hey V- Nus. I am assuming that you are not into house music at all. I could go on all day and night about its deepness and soulfulness, but instead, I would just ask you to listen to some of Blaze's work for (IMO) the true definition of deep soulful house. Peace.

I agree!! take him/her to a club buy them a couple of beers and let the dj do the work!!!
if they dont feel it they maybe just dont get it!!
when i first started clubbing i was usually pilled but i have been clubing for the last 5 years without taking any gear and he music is just as goood .Infact i would say i enjot it more because i actually remember more tunes, more mixes and im also doing something healthy in steadof un healthy!! lol :D

I usually explain it as the natural progression of disco music. Older disco heads usually aren't feeling "groove La Chord" or whatever, but a lot of people can see the relationship once you play them a good vocal track. Blaze is a good example. But just about any track that is an actual "song" (verse, chorus, a message of some sort, etc) might do the trick. You could always play the gospel card too. If this person has ever been to church, some basement boys or Heather Hedley might sway them as well.

Respect, V-nus if your in the u.k just take him to hear terry jones play!! terry is one of the few "soul" purist dj's that is playing soulful house in his sets pitched down to -2

i maen on the u.k soul scene the tempo is a lot slower yhan alot of house cuts so when playing soulful house in sets the dj usualy has to drop the pitch a few notches
