I think Tee Scott has yet to get the props he deserves--his mixes are flawless, beautiful tributes to the original, but Tee adds a certain "something" that makes his version surpass the source, in many cases. A few of my favourites:
First Choice -- "Love Thang" (this is the quintessential example of a Tee rendition besting the original, IMHO)
Michelle Wallace -- "It's Right/Tee's Right"
Sharon Brown -- "I Specialize In Love"
Junior -- "Mama Used To Say"
The Whatnauts -- "Help Is On The Way"
I never really felt "Time." I get the sense that a lot of Tee's work was Tom Moulton-style mixing: rather than a wholesale stripping and rebuilding in parts like Levan, FK and others (although Tee does do this with "Love Thang"), it was a more subtle post-production kind of thing, make a few "refinements" here and there, y'know?
I haven't been lucky enough to get my hands on his take on "Love Is The Message" yet, but anything that bears the legend "Mixed by Tee Scott" is a must-have for me!

It's all Junior for me... :D
Junior - "Mama used to say"
Junior - "Too late"
Junior - "I can't help it" (I am not sure if the title is right, there is Junior riding a bike on the cover, I have played the hell out of this!!)

For me it's a toss up between Love Thang and Mighty Real (for which he received a gold record). Of course there's always the insider info favorite Back Together Again (Roberta Flack/Donny Hathaway) because very few people know that's tee's work.

Love Is The Message - One Way I've heard people say that Tee's remix of LITM is not the definitive one. My ear is not that discerning. How do you think it compares to the Nicky Siano remix, which I believe is recognized as the last word?

Thanks for clearing that up.
There are a few remixes that stand out because they are so terrible, though. graemlins/all_coholic.gif

The One Way version of LITM is a Began Cekic remake mixed by Tee with some cool breaks...
More info on Jahsonic's site -
One Way Info. (http://www.jahsonic.com/OneWay.html)
Not saying that Tee's mix is the one, but just that it's one of Tee's mixes that I like.

It is quite a bit shorter - just over 5 mins, comparred to about 8 mins on Tee's mix. Personally, I find it of interest to hear the original mix just to check out what the remixer has changed/added.
