Yep, tomorrow they're gonna do my knee, it's my first surgery so I'm a bit nervous :(
I hope it turns out well, and that I'll still be able to dance afterwards...
Wish me luck! graemlins/beerchug.gif

If they give you Vicadin for pain,be careful, that shit is like pure dope. It'll have ya like Homer Simpson when he sees donuts. It's also very addictive.
I hope things work out for the best.

Thx for the kind thoughts, people, I'm really not lookin' forward to it, especially because that wannabe-comedian of a doctor tried to be funny by asking me about a dozen times if it's the right or the left knee...
Just make some time in your thoughts tomorrow for me graemlins/bighug.gif

They don't have to give me shit for the pain, I'm gonna take my own pain-killer with me, in a little bag...

Is this orthroscopy or replacement? I've had both on my hip, the orthroscopy was not that invasive but also not very helpful to me. I understand its different with the knee which bears more direct weight than the hip but also seems to be more responsive to orthroscopic surgery. The replacement has allowed me freedom of movement which I did not have previously, I was in so much pain before that. I was terrified at the time, because there is nothing I love more than to dance, it means everything to me. With the proper physical therapy and conditioning your muscles surrounding your knee with weights, ease your way back into your dancing as your own body dictates. I continue to enjoy the ability to do my little 2-step every chance I get. I wish you the same wonderful recovery...and on a lighter note the morphine drip when you're laid up in the hospital is beyond words :D

They're gonna start with an orthroscopy to see what is actually wrong with it (they know it's my miniscus, but don't really know what), and when they cleared that out they'll try and fix it...

@David: God speed tomorrow! smile.gif Take care of yourself...
hey David ! Good luck tomorrow with the operation... I've had two operations already in my life, and I think you do not need to worry about it.. Man, i loved the painkillers they gave me...I was taking them for over a week (I had my arm broken), so don't hesitate to ask some if you feel the pain.. :)
greetings,
ps : i do hope the weather calms down a bit..It's too hot to be in a bed all day long..

Wish me luck! graemlins/beerchug.gif Hey David! I've had the cartilidge corrected in both knees, and the synovial sac replaced in one, and guess what?
