Demarkus Lewis: Talk to me dirty / In the dark / Waiting - US Bluem

Demarkus Lewis: The love lost EP - US Moods And Grooves

Demarkus Lewis: Why me / Da music / In my vibe - US Bluem

These are my only one records I have by him, I really like his style. Anyone else feeling like me?

Yes, that Moods & Grooves EP is quite different from the other stuff he has out lately. The Bluem Recordings 12" are mostly on the so called "Tech-House" side but there are a couple of tracks on them quite interesting IMO.

Speaking of Moods & Grooves they have great stuff out, the Brian Harden 2xLP is strong. A nice combo of Detroit-New York house tracks! Check it if you can, there is an Old-School-Kerri Chandler like track there too!

the moods & grooves is real nice. if you feel that then go for his release on alluv, which is more likehis M&G release. his last couple of releases didn't do too much for me. he also has a remix on hedphoniq(sp) of a boo williams track... not to bad either.

bio and discography for demarkus:

DeMarkus Lewis

Biography:

DeMarkus Lewis has been rocking crowds in the south of the USA for the past 12 years as Dallas' premier house DJ and Producer. He has now been ranked with some of the best in the industry along with other Dallas natives such as JT Donaldson, Lance Desardi, Brett Johnson, and Tim Shumaker and currently has more releases than any other house DJ still residing in Dallas. In a recent XLR8R magazine review, he was claimed to be a "House Music God", which is a title only given out to the best. Not only can he produce great records, but he really shines at his live performances playing only the best in house ranging from unreleased promos from other respected artists in the house scene to original music and crowd favorites. Clubs who book DeMarkus to play are never disappointed and he is always brought back again and again as a return request from their partygoers. Unlike many dj's-turned-producers, De remains constant with his dj sets and always delivers a great, memorable performance.

The last few years have proved to be very successful for Demarkus as he falls into his long time dream of performing and producing music on a full time basis. He is currently traveling to and from major cities in the US on guest appearances and tour dates for his almost monthly releases on world respected house labels as well as holding down weeklies and gigs in his hometown of Dallas. He is also frequently receiving requests for his music from various labels which has DeMarkus in the studio constantly and has labels waiting for his next demo.

Brother Dee is my guy! He and I have been through some shit(ask him about the Eric Anderson incedent back in 97)! I remember talking to him when I first met him in 96 about starting a record label. He said he would be down but it seemed like the year after that he became a possesed and driven madman. He got a little studio and poured himself into it. I come from the Dallas massive and used to throw a few parties with those guys(Industial Blvd warehouse). Demarkus is one of the nicest people you would want to meet. I am sorry to say that I don't talk to him as muck as I would like, but he is still a great friend. I think I'll call him tonight. Peace.

Demarkus Lewis is the MAN! I love his "Different Tokes" EP on Moezee, especially 'Turn Up The Sirens' which is so hot! His new Crown Royal release is off the hook, too. I can't get it out of my head lately. Nice.
