How do you do it, I have the computer hooked up through the mixer, but I can't figure out why I'm not getting anything through the software.......

Make sure Sound Forge is configured for the sound card you are using. You may have a drop down menu depending on the version

Open Soundforge, click record, play music, hit stop when you're done. It will be a wave file. Save it and there you go.

While I'm recording I should see the wave forming on the taskline right???, I don't see anything, I'll have to check to see if the sound card is configured, I have Soundforge 7

No you wont see anything, there is a block by VU window at the bottom left, X that box and you will see the lights go up. That mean you have sound traffic.
Just be sure to click stop when youre done and not close, otherwise all that record will go away with the dialog boxes.

Exactly. When you hit record you should see your VU meters moving. If not, then you have to configure your sound card. You can save it however you like i.e. wave, mp3 etc,. Hit me up if need be Chuck.
