if someone you knew applied for a job at a company you worked for and used you for a reference. Let's say this person is someone that you wouldn't exactly recommend. How do you respond to your manager when you're asked "Do you know this person"? "Can you tell me something about this person"?
What is a nice way of saying "hell naw I wouldn't recommend him/her, that ho still owe me some money"!
So, what would you do if someone applied for a job at a company you worked for and used you for a reference without your permission. Keep in mind this is someone that you maybe cool with as long as you see him/her about four times a year for three to four hours each time.
I'd say I don't know them......JMJ

Stan...you might want to consider two things--personal/professional. Personal=character-->the fact that there is an outstanding debt; BAD deal & Professional=Can she do the job?=FAVORABLE
Personally, I would speak to the professional & leave the personal (that's y'alls messing ish on the side) alone.
Hayle, I know plenty of folk who are capable of doing a job & I could recommend them. But their personal (owing folk $$$/effed up character) stuff isn't worthy of me commenting on.
Take the high road on this & be specifically vague...speak only to what is asked.
Hope that this makes sense.

That makes a lot of sense. You know, I really didn't get into the personal side of it, and I only told him positive things. It just left a bad taste in my mouth.
