They keep remaking these films. Jason Takes Manhattan..what's next: Freddy Does the Bronx? (that would be funny..they did do Leprechaun in the Hood). From the ending of the last Freddy v. Jason flick, they'll keep on. Enough already. Something to see though would be Freddy, Jason, Michael Meyers and Leatherface (TX Chainsaw). Wonder who would win..pair them up into teams.

So easy a protic can do it (QUAD)

Freddy is funny to watch; he has jokes and all. Jason..damn, he gets paid and doesn't have to say ONE DAMN WORD. Whoever the writers are, they are fresh out of ideas and are just sticking to what they know. Is this what they call writer's block!?

O.K Queen you've got a good point
but what about those of us that are true
horror movie fans. graemlins/conf44.gif

Are you telling us to just watch the
old flicks, there is gotta be some
creativity left in making these films.

Audrey Rose wasn't reincarnated that many times! (now that's an old movie). They need to reinvent other movies if they're so stuck. Damn, do a new Trilogy of Terror, Lizzie Borden: The Bitch is Back or a Carrie 2004 or something. Hmm. Maybe I'll write one! But these guys are too old to be fighting each other. It's about 20 years later.

Aliens vs. Predator movie in the works

Paul Anderson, the filmmaker behind the movie Resident Evil, will make a film based on the popular Aliens vs. Predator action games.

Paul Anderson, the man behind the game-based film Resident Evil, will write and direct a film based on the popular Aliens vs. Predator sci-fi action games for 20th Century Fox, according to a report on Variety. The film will be developed by the producers of the Aliens and Predator film series. The story will follow a human scientist who hatches alien eggs on a distant planet in order to attract predators.

i went to see The Texas Chainsaw Massacre... an it was surprizingly good... lol me and my hunny couldn't stop talking about it because it had us cracking up...

i love horror flicks and sometimes you gotta sort thru the corny ones to get to a real gem... smile.gif

case it point... The Ring sucked and wasn't worth the hype... Stephen King movies are never half as good as the book, besides like Carrie, Christina, Creepshow, The Shining...

Deen Kootz movies usually aren't as good as the book either...

matter of fact... the last scary movie i've seen that was really, really good was... i forgot the name... the one with bruce willis and the little boy that saw dead people... and Nicole Kidman in The Others... but then again those were more suspenseful than slash/horror... oh well... lol

and that was "the 6th sense"...i also like "stir of echoes" with kevin bacon, which came out around the same time.

Bring back the EVIL DEAD movies!!!

Can't agree with you on this one, DQ. I live for these type of flicks. What I am personally sick of are they type of movies where they have the "hopelessly unhip White people" who meet up with the young urban youth (read: Black) and suddenly turn into hipsters (see 'Bringing Down the House,' 'Bulworth,' or to a lesser extent, 'Malibus Most Wanted'). I don't mind the horror genre at all ... keep bringing it!

The Sixth Sense!!! Yeah... that movie had me afraid to walk in the dark parts of my house! Stir of Echoes was also good...

The suspenseful flicks and the psychological thrillers get me... i always like to think that i'm smart enough to predict the ending... lol
if it 'gets' me... i'ma fan for life...

Every time a role calls for a black man, the first person they think of is Denzel. Sorry, but I am not in that group of women who think that he is "the one." He is not fine to me.

I'm not bashing horror films in general, I'm just saying the Freddy, Jason, and even Michael Meyers thing have been done to death. If they are going to remake some horror flicks, they have a lot to choose from. These guys gotta be damn near senior citizens by now out there trying to fight. But on the flipside of that, that's why I can't wait to see Scary Movie 3.

um, texas chainsaw massacre was no joke. that sh*t was scary / disturbing. i won't say that it was totally unpredictable; there were a few moments when the anticipation/suspense were excruciating... any hope being ripped from your puny busom, over and over.

yes, i actually screamed, a few times. yes, i talked to the people on the screen, but it was no use because even i had been tricked into the downward spiral of nuttiness and distruction of life and limb.

here's the spoiler i gave last week... some highlights:
