Just wanted to whet the appetite of the DHP.
I read Tim Lawrence's book over two days as background research for an upcoming interview, it was kindly provided by the publisher in advance of publication but I understand it'll be available to buy in December.
It's the kind of book you won't want to put down. I stayed awake until all hours reading it a couple of nights ago.
I know every board member with an interest in the roots of today's dance culture will want to buy it. LSD's a great read full of wonderful stories and fascinating characters. It goes into the years 1970 to 1979 in very precise detail, with loads of interviews and pictures (most I haven't seen anywhere before - a nice one of Mr Mancuso outside Prince Street, a couple of pics of a very young looking FK at New York New York and a couple of little Walter Gibbons).
Well done Tim...all those years of hard work were well worth it.
