i was wondering if Michael Jackson was gonna get PAID. doesnt he own the publiching for the Beatles catalogue? i guess that means he'll cash in huh?

Dayum, I know I am l a t e on this, but I just caught this movie the other day at a suprisingly crowded movie theater. I have never been a Beatles' fan and I thought the movie and the music was excellent. I was amazed at how great the covers were and I had to pick up my jaw from the floor upon hearing the gospel version of "Let It Be." I am sure I will be listening to more of the Beatles now.

Yes, he owns them. He pulled a swift one on Paul McCartneys back in '85. Paul approached Michael as a partner for the purchase ($47mill) and Michael bought them himself. In '95 Michael merged his publication business with Sony.

There's been a lot of speculation about him having to sell them due to his alleged current debt crisis. Apparently he's used them as collateral for a loan from Sony. If he defaults or has defaulted on the loan...well you know the story.
