They just lost their lease. Today is their last day open apparently
man! that's bad news.
I remember getting "Live a happy life" for 99 cents there :D
I got
Kris Coleman "Shine" Alleviated,
Frontline Orchestra "Don'T Turn YOur Back On Me" and a dozen other records for bargain prices there...
Can someone please buy their signs for me?
Peace.

Its great to see that house aint dead. And that business is "thriving". When will we wake up.
R.I.P.
They had a great run and will be missed.

Damn. They were really nice to deal with and had some surprising oldies from time to time.

You'd think they would have just found a new location if that was the case.

That was great spot. One of the cleaner stores in NYC. Always found something in there.
Hopefully they will find a new spot.

I went over to EightBall record store after work.
It was closed with the gates down. It was not open for business at all!
I walked around the corner and it was like STOP, like no selling anything, like don't come over here no more, like no no no no no not here buddy, like the party is over, like the last track of silence, like we don't have the keys to the locks on the gates, Closed!
I was looking forward to getting some flight cases and couple of t-shirts! Dam! mad1.gif
I am not sure if they will relocate or what but I will say they will be missed!

Sad that in one year we have seen the demise of
Beyond Bass, Throb, Dubspot, Eightball and the downsizing of Satellite.
Even Sonic Groove has moved locations.

Even Sonic Groove has moved locations. Satellite's physical space may have downsized, but I think they have increased overall revenue via other channels (online, etc.) - correct me if I'm wrong.
But yeah, overall it's sad to see the stores go b/c there is nothing like the "actual in-store" experience.
