View Full Version : Do you remember...
Me and some friends was talking about the styles back in the 70s and I brought up "Swedish Knits". These pants was the ish back in the day. They had so many different colors with shadows of tear drops and a split in the seam with a different color in it. Of course we was BUGGIN talkin about those pants. Did the other areas have different names for those pants?

Peace.
I've bought up those pants to people from different parts of the country...never heard of them. I'm inclined to think some person from Newark, NJ invented those designs. graemlins/rofl.gif

In the Bronx they were called AJ's and my mom never got me a pair :( They were generally worn with Polyesther mock necks. Never had those either...
Don't remember what the shoes were called but I hated them and of course I had them in Brown and Black... I wonder if my parents secretly hated me ? graemlins/conf44.gif

They were nasty man! (I never owned a pair! biggrinangel.gif I was too young).

lol at you guys.In the 70s and early 80 here in the uk we had sam bad clothes too.The 80s especially. we ha....
tartan denims
boating shoes
flecked trousers
pointy shoes with laces up the sides
cardigans with big Y on them
Simon shirts
crinkled shirts with round collars and broches(for guys)
bad suits with paisley patterns inside
holy smoko. that gear was stinking(sottish for horrible)
But i have to admit when i watch old american tv programmes where the kids have huge flares, tight t shirts, afro's and short leather jacketswith big collars you ant beat it lol.
