I wonder the same thing. And it's gone universal. I've seen it for plays, parties, and concerts.

i'll be honest, the first folks i heard use it was Wynell for the Attic parties.

okay - i've done a search on the net and find the phrase is very common. not coined by Ms. Wynell.
