HotMix 5 Question?

I respect the Hotmix 5 to the max. I was just wondering why sometimes a DJ would play one of the same records that the DJ before him had just played. If anyway can shed some light on this please help me out?

Cause that shit was hot.That's how you know a song was dope.if you heard 5 jocks rock some of the same tunes,but put their own stamp on it,that makes that shit hot.....that's called breaking a record...

The hotmix five would pre-record their mixes prior to coming into the studio. Sometimes they mixed in the same tracks. They mostly worked seprately and, I believe, with exception of Farley & Hurley, they lived seprately.
