Anyone have a song of any genre that makes you misty? I find it very difficult to shed tears but for some reason I get misty everytime I hear Sylvesters "Over and Over". That song brings to mind 2 very surreal moments for me
1. At my 32 birthday party ( A PJ party in Dec) Not only did I get a very decent and willing crowd 80% in PJ's , but I played that record and sent the party into overdrive...felt really special.
2. Working at Body & Soul Francois played that record and sent this particular party into overdrive. From where I stood in the middle of the crowd, the energy was palpable, aforce of it's own. And watching Francois on the crossover and Ariel on lights like they were feeding on each other...well it was a real and rare moment.
Anyone else have a song like this?

these were playing one night at the club when I was living in Palma Spain in the mid 80's. Back then video clubs were the rage over there and thats where I hung out. I remember these 2 songs were playing on the screens when the (so I thought) love of my life walked in. She was a student at the local Airline stewardess school. French mixed with Italian she was a vision of real beauty. This was the first time I actually saw a woman move past me in slow motion (maybe it was the vodka). After about 1 yr together we ended up with a beautiful daughter named Anikka after her mom. They both live in Iceland now (we do stay in touch) but those songs always make me get weak in the knees.

The closest I come to a tear is "Still The Dancer" by Kemdi...and after reading her bios about her death/struggle with MS--it really, really touches me evenmore.

Moby - One of These Mornings

[but unlike you, i cry so easily, my trouble is trying NOT to tear up at the basic things in life .. like walking by a homeless person, seeing someone else cry, watching the news, watching those sally struther (correct last name?) commercials about feeding the starving children, all these make me full-on bawl]

but musically, moby does it for me.

There is a version of The Prayer by Jephte Gulliame (SP?) that has chanting in the beginning. It seems to always take over my mind and I get lost in the song

When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse?

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worst?

Lights will guide you home,
And ignite your bones,
And I will try to fix you,

High up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down on your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down on your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
