I don't know what brainmush you're being fed on Fox and CNN but most of the reports I've seen have hardly shown the Iraqi people screaming and cheering at the arrival of the American troops.

Thousands of people have been killed, thousands more are homeless. Baghdad is running low on food and water and medicine. Rival Iraqi groups have already started firing guns at each other.

Oh and more people haved died in Iraq in the last three weeks than died on 9/11.

Regardless of if you're for or against the war, the bottom line is that our troops are over there now. Now protest, or no civil disobediant act will bring them back.

But I will be damned if I hear another person say an ingornant statment such as the ones stated above by Basecore.

Basecore, if I gave you the chance to sit down with my favorite uncle who fought in Vietnam, and let him tell you how after 30 years, he wakes up in a cold sweat after a thunderstorm, or the sound of a car backfiring makes him snap, you will see how war really is. I pray everynight that my brother is OK and I hope he makes it home in one piece.

Even if we do find WMDs (when did that become an acronym?) and someone says "ah ha! See! We were right!", finding the weapons doesn't justify the action taken. Or in other words, the ends does not justify the means. To say it does somehow indicates that there were no alternatives left. The finding of weapons only means that weapons were there. Who's to say that inspectors wouldn't have ultimately discovered those weapons if given the chance (we'll never know now). What was the rush to circumvent the inspection process, kill people, and destroy cities?

A 'told you so' moment from the non-warmongers amoungst us - there are now 100,000 of young muslims all-over the world signing up to fight for Iraq, they see it as a holy war to destroy US and UK lives - this could be Basra, Birmingham, Baltimore, Bangkok, whereever your backyard is...

We are now the agressors, we're all slavedrivers in the eyes of young muslims everywhere - that's where the war is played out in the minds of these young people :(
