smile.gif </font>[/QUOTE]There have been some heated online debates over the political correctness of Homies. Some find them to be cute, harmless, and more accurate than other toys. Others find them to support sterotypes that are disrespectful to Latinos.

I think they are awesome!
I was JUST turned on to them by my daughter.
I guess I'm a little late with this -
We bought out the whole machine.

I think thats just "it" about them - they are "on the edge" - and I like that!

Plus - they are each a conversation piece. I mean - check em' out and be the judge for yourself. Very funny characters - and thats the way it is.

There's heated Online Debate everyday about too many other important things besides some cool little ART sculptures.

Bravo David Gonzales - The Homies Creator (A Latino himself) Check this out Homies Creator Interview (http://homies.tv/interview.htm)

They are spinning off into some other things too - The Palermo's - Italians , The Mijos - The Homie Kids, The Hoodrats and more.

I think Ultra had originally posted the Homies issue last year.

I haven't seen any posts on the DHP about them.

I can understand how some uptight people might not understand them at first - but if you dig a little deeper - there's a whole culture being represented here - and IMO - it's about time!

Cholo's!

I don't think you'll be seeing them in McDonalds Happy Meals any time soon...
but Taco Bell might consider... let me stop playing. :D

I buy as many of them as I can when I see them in vending machines at grocery stores and shit. Then I keep them in my car so I can "ride with my homies"
