I have mixed feelings about it. At times watching her, I feel kinda bad for her. She seems so childlike (I know she's still young). She seems very humble and afraid. She states she's ashamed that she didn't fire and instead was cowering and praying. She dispels any stories of her shooting to the death and such. But when the guy who alerted others to her whereabouts states that he'd peek in her room and watch her being slapped, she says it didn't happen. She doesn't remember him. I don't know. They film the whole thing and she doesn't know why. She feels they used this to symbolize the war in some way. It is almost like they're using such a heroic rescue to distract away from the fact that so many other soldiers are dying every day. I think they said 394 have died so far. If she feels they used her, then she should get paid. Book deals. 80% or whatever.

I'm surprised she actually came out strong against her government the way she did. Probably took her lots of reflection, courage and strength. I didn't see the interview but it was on the news last night (catching BBC World).
