First one in 8 years since Mattingly. Wonder if he'll still party till 4 in the morning on his days off.

Never stopped Ruth or Mickey....or Billy for that matter. How about Whitey?

By the way..Ruth's bahvior did cost him the Captaincy. He had attacked an umpire and a fan in the stands on the same day.

I was only commenting on the lack of importance partying till 4am seems to mean to Yankee 'lore. Actually it seems to add to it IMHO

Actually Wells is my current hero......I do believe he got lit up the day/night before his perfect game...but he lost a lot of points to me w/ the book.

Funny how in 1978, The Bronx Zoo had no corporate facial attire. They wore afros and beards (Reggie, Roy White), had big mustaches (Goose, Munson), and partied hard (Reggie).

Now, in 2003, Derek Jeter gets critisized for partying and Jason Giambi cannot wear facial hair.

And guess what? Both teams are owned by the same man, General Von Steingrabber!

Glad The General came to his senses and put the C on Derek's jersey. Peace.
