I wonder what got him to do a song sounding like this. The video is pretty cool too. What song from the 90's? Or you mean early 90's house sound in general?

This is pretty hot! I think that beat could be a little "phatter" and it could use a little extension for the club but aside from that, it's cool.

I like it. The video is fun also. Snoop let go of the Crip Walk for a change and jacked it up under a Disco ball and flashing lights. I'll have to snatch this one up. I think Sexy Back kind of kicked off a resurgence of mainstream artists coming out with straight up dance cuts and if you notice, several House artists are dropping some Hip Hop flavor in tracks again. It's not back on that level when Def Mix was remixing everybody yet. I definitely want to see the return of mainstream artists having extended remixes of songs made for the clubs. Mariah and Beyonce still get this treatment but I'd love to see more of it. Hell, I'd love to see a full length album with R&B/Hip Hop divas and dons doing the House thing. This was definitely a smart move for Snoop Dogg.

Probably his own creativity ... which is why he is, who he is today

Man has definitely branched out in so many areas :respent:

This is my personal guilty pleasure song of the moment. It is dumb and almost parodic but funky at the same time.

I'd be curious to see if Pharrell produced this. Pharrell did another joint for Snoop a couple years ago on this same tip. So it's not like Snoop has not done an uptempo track.

In this day and age of record sales and itune downloads; you got to have some diversity. Something for this crowd and something for that crowd. With people downloading singles; it all adds up to $$$$.

Yea Snoop mentioned on an interview with Angie Martinez that he is tired of all the rappers making the same sounds so he wanted to go back when he used to dance with his mom at home back in the 70s. Nice change for Snoop.

Ya know :respent:

Snoop takes a dive/risk outside of his normal hip hop tracks, and it's the "same old thing" or he's "copying"

Yet a house producer makes another 4-4 beat track, and it's FIIIIYAAAAH!

... gotta love it :rofl5:

I dont see it as Snoop doing T Pain but more of Snoop doing Roger Troutman. And the song is hot . So who's going to do the remix ?

Okay I think it's aight Troutman reference was most accurate..."housey" not so much....dance floor worthy? At times as tempo is very suave. My cous stillphil tried to sned me a mix but it wouldn't dl will share if I get it

please don't remix this...all it really needs is an extended edit, which anyone can do using the instrumental and original versions...all we need is for this to get a 'house mix', which will either another wanna be MAW/Quentin Harris bongo house attempt, another Darryl James let's remix every damn r&b record attempt or another 'electro' mix...leave it as is...

a good track coming from the mainstream, where's the champaign..?
the synths are discreet and lovely
The clip is also nice, I wonder if the young peeps will digg this...http://deephousepage.com/smilies/conf40.gif

it's soooo totally different from what we're used to hear on the mainstream tv video clip stations.....what do you think?

I'm not really saying that. I play this stuff for a living So I'm hyper aware of what's been getting plays in commercial hiphop kind of setting, and so is Snoop. Fatima asked, so I was giving some information. THis is how it always goes with sounds. I'm just sayin this is not a breakthrough track, is really not a risk or surprising or inovative. No big deal lots of great tracks arn't. I'm not dismissing it because of such. I was answerign a question and I'm right.

I would be saying the same thing if I LOVED the track. I just said I wasn't sure about it yet. And this is mainly because the crowds I have played it for havn't eaten it up yet. It's probably still a little new for my square pegs I'm playing for right now. I do think this track is going to be huge, and a million remixes will fallow.

here is a long edit that some one did that is pretty much what peeps were asking for. No new elements just 2 1/2 times as long

I looked for a remix online and saw that a friend of mine already did one, he said he did not have to do much other than add some beats from kenny dope to it. It's on his Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/selektachang

I am sure there will be more remixes coming from well-established producers.

I feel like any straight programmed 4 to the floor beat would turn this into Daft Punk's 'One More Time' !?!

Yeah, that breakbeat in the track really gives it flavor. A straight 4/4 would most definitely take a lot away from that flavor. A downtempo broken beat mix of this might be interesting...
