AC Milan win and meet Boca Juniors

Without shine, the Italians ousted Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds 1-0 to seal a place in Sunday's final of the FIFA Club World Cup against Boca Juniors.

As it was expected, Italy's AC Milan and Argentina's Boca Juniors, the two most important competitors, will contest the final match of the Club World Cup.

Milan managed to beat a willing Urawa in a match in which Kaka set the prologue to the role he went to Japan to play: win the FIFA World Player. The Brazilian played faster than his teammates but he seemed to be making no effort at all.

Milan needed only 67 minutes to score the winner as a result of a Kaka-Seedorf partnership, which works alone.

The best team from Asia still have a lot to improve to face the best European teams. In fact, when they were really confident, the Rossoneri netted.

The match failed to get rhythm, but once it began, it follow the logic. The Italians had many opportunites: a fault from Pirlo, a play of Kaka that Seedorf shot emotionless, a header from Ambrosini, a beautiful volley from Seedorf…

But then happened what Kaka wanted to: he combined with Seedorf, who smashed in the game's only goal. The result fell short compared to Milan's opportunities.

The Italians came to Japan to win the Club World Cup and that was shown at the Yokohama stadium. This way, Boca Juniors will have to perform better than against Etoile Sportive du Sahel if they want to claim the tournament as in 2003.

This has been some interesting matches. Boca were lucky to get past the Tunisian team.

However, as is required in football Boca took their chance when it was presented.

Looking forward to the final.

If only Riquelme was allowed to participate. He was playing with Boca when they won the Libertadores. I'm sure Villareal was holding on to him so he would not be able to participate in Japan. Mafiosos!

Boca Jr.'s all the way!!!
I dont see AC milan beating them. Perhaps it will go to penalties but I would rather it be won in regular time.

2-1 Boca Jr.'s

i'm a huge fan of Argentinean footie
and a fan of CABJ.
that said,
I don't think Boca can beat AC Milan.
Last year, when they had Riquelme on the team, they would've stomped Milan but not this year. They've been very disappointing and inconsistent in their play considering the heavyweight players they have on their roster (palacio, palermo, banega, vargas, and cardoso come to mind). So its shocking to see the team fold the way the it has without the leadership of Riquelme, who was ruled ineligible for the World Cup.

also consider that Boca doesn't play defense very well.

3-1 AC Milan

Hey drop. Your comments are very realistic. I was very upset when Vargas was red carded. Even though they are playing without Riquelme, I think Russo(coach) is using the experience card. Boca needed someone like Vargas to create a disturbance in the midfield. We are talking about a guy who has won two Intercontinental Cups with Boca and Inter(Brasil).

Inter Milan has pretty much the same team as back in 2003. Boca's teams is failry new and their experienced players are on the verge of retirement. I think Banega needs to step up Gago style and Paletta needs to avoid silly mistakes that could cost Boca the game. Krupoviesa another experienced player will also have to step up to the plate. Thank god we have a great golie like Carranta. Maidana is a great defender but he lack experience and he too could make an innocent mistake that could cost us the game. "El Negro" Ibarra is definitely gonna have to be in top form in the defense and in his long run to Milan's goal. I have total confidence in him. Let's hope Palermo can make one of his crazy with a dash of luck goals. I am not too confident in Leandro Gracian.

How does Boca win?

Take Kaka out. Frustrate Gattuso. Shut down Seedorf and Inzaghi.

Who takes the penalty kicks?

VAMOS BOCA!!!!!!!

hmm.. good points, losing Vargas for the final game was very disappointing.
Boca definitely needed the experience out on the pitch. But I felt they played better the second half with 10 men then they did the first half.

But don't count them out. Even though some players are young on Boca,
the older players I think will come thru for the team (palacio, palermo, ibarra, battaglia, cardozzo)

I just hope we see some good futbol!!!

I just hope we see some good futbol!!!no doubt!!! i think its going to be a good game for a little bit. AC Milan plays just as physical as Boca so its going to be rough. Kaka is going to be the difference because of his speed, and his presence is going to open opportunities for other players.

yeah I agree on KAKA, I just feel like Milan is just an old team.. dont get me wrong they have great players but I think its time some of them step aside...

I'd agree with you, but AC don't seem to be caring about anything outside of this world club cup at the moment. I think they'll be a bit hungry for this, as they've won everything else in recent history. And when AC is hungry and focused, it's very hard to stop them.
