Manchester, England's Andy Carthy, Mr. Scruff, not only has released three critically acclaimed albums, with countless tours and club events, but he has cemented his now legendary DJ status.
In his early years, he was a great 2 Tone Fan, and his music masterfully mixes hip hop, funk, soul, jazz, Latin, disco, Afrobeat, house, electro, reggae, rhythm & blues, ska and, in short, good, varied, soulful music! The release of his Ninja album "Keep it Unreal" also kick started his Manchester club night of the same name, borne of a desire to play exactly what he wanted, rather than having to fit in with the music policies of other club nights. He is regularly featured at the UK's prestigious Big Chill Festival.
