We certainly think so. Some neighbors didn't. While their complaints won't carry the day with us, we're considering all options.

Then we would piss off the (soon to be created July 6th) South Shore Drive Highrise Committee and then the subsequent letter writing campaign in response to the South Shore Herald........fugg it, keep it in the same spot. After all, the CF should have MANY volunteers to pick up all the trash next year, right?

They have the jazz fest there every year for over 10 years (at the cultural center), drawing crowds just as large as the CFP....they havnt complained about the jazz fest so why would they complain about the CFP picnic??


Plus the parking was just as bad at last year's spot if you got there late........

The bad thing about the South Shore Country Club is unloading and loading, for those of us who do it big at the picnic. Even those of us who get there early, will have hell trying to load up when it's time to go.

Thanks for the feedback. There is quite a bit of parking behind the Cultural Center and another lot across the street, a block north. We're working it through with the Alderman.

Okay, looking at fares and hotels now....please keep the same location - very easy to get to from the downtown hotel area via public transportation! :thumbsup:
