I just recieved this very official looking email claiming to be from microsoft with a virus attached... if you get one don't run the attachment like it says to... microsoft would never send out a patch on email like this.

this is the latest version of security update, the "September 2003, Cumulative Patch" update which eliminates all known security vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express as well as three newly discovered vulnerabilities. Install now to maintain the security of your computer from these vulnerabilities, the most serious of which could allow an attacker to run code on your computer. This update includes the functionality of all previously released patches.


System requirements Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT/XP
This update applies to MS Internet Explorer, version 4.01 and later
MS Outlook, version 8.00 and later
MS Outlook Express, version 4.01 and later
Recommendation Customers should install the patch at the earliest opportunity.
How to install Run attached file. Choose Yes on displayed dialog box.
How to use You don't need to do anything after installing this item.

I hope and pray this does not circulate throughout the world. I am sick of updating workstations to protect again virus' created by Microsoft haters. After hurricane Isabel swept through the East Coast I need a couple of days of serenity. smile.gif

Why do people, who use MACS, act like they have the king of all OS's. Sure they are pretty and look excellent. Some even have super power. But Apple is not a huge target right now....there's only like 15 of you guys graemlins/rofl.gif

I dunno, so far from what i know, macs are great if you're into graphics and music production...but other than that the OS takes some getting used to. but c'mon people, you have to admit the G5 is ****ing awesome.
