no! some 'crap-rap' club killed the spot. there was a shooting or stabbing b4 dymk and things went downhill. they moved to another spot. jewels' catch one or something like that. bad area for cars and to walk alone. don't know how it is though, can't bring myself to check. don't like the spot all that much.

that was one of the best sets i've been to. marques wyatt tears some shit up, for real!
i think most places are pretty safe to walk around in at 3 o'clock on a Sunday morning. Most of the thugs, hypes and crackheads are turning in about that time, or are too tired too f**k with somebody.

It still goes on but it's at the Catch One Disco on Pico. The area is ghetto but don't believe the hype. If you can handle New York or Chi then you can handle LA. I haven't been to the new place yet, but I've heard from a few people that it's better than the Coconut Teazers, but I'va also heard that it sucks ass. I'll form my own opinion when I go one day, but I've heard that Terence Toy has been rocking it lately.

last time I went I got the impresseion that it turned into a place for people who don't want to sleep and need to buy more drugs to extend there already miserable night..
terence toy , I am sure rocks.. but do most of the people who are there actually hear it?
sadly I was never there in the good old times but I've heard great stories ..
peace, lb.
